Broadcasting on DAB+ from the top of Blackpool Tower, Dune Radio is a local radio station serving the North West Coast of England covering Southport, the Liverpool City Region, the Fylde Coast, and West Lancashire.
The station started life as Sangrounder Radio, a 28-day RSL covering Southport on FM in November 2015. Dune Radio picks up from where Sandgrounder Radio left off with the same great line up of local, radio professionals, local news & information, plus ‘Better Music and More Of It’.
Content Director Andy Hilbert said, “Dune Radio will be like a stick of Blackpool Rock; cut it half and it will have the word ‘local’ running right through the middle of it”.
