North Derbyshire Radio serves Chesterfield and North Derbyshire, and provides providing people across the area with local news and information along with a variety of music.

They began broadcasting in March 2021, and ‘fills the void’ left by recent broadcasting changes by providing local news, sport and entertainment, as well as supporting local charities and businesses across North Derbyshire.

The station was created by Former Peak FM presenter and programmer Naz Premji, now a regular contributor to BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC TV’s Final Score’s football coverage.

We are proud to serve the area providing, local news, sport and community action as well as great music from presenters who live and breathe our wonderful area. We are delighted to be on the Freeview TV platform on Channel 277 across North Derbyshire, we want to reach as many people as possible across the region and this expansion compliments our current coverage online, on our wonderful smart phone apps, smart speaker and on Roku TV and Fire TV”, Naz Premji, North Derbyshire Radio Station Controller.

North Derbyshire Radio will be available to compatible Freeview TV’s in the ITV Yorkshire (East) coverage area
